Sleep...nice when you can get it...

• Visual Studio 2005 SP1 Beta and Visual Studio support for Vista - Personally I think you have to be a special kind of nuts to run a beta of a service pack, but if you want it, you can get it.
• cyn.in - This collaborative service has gone from beta to launch now. Still not sure what it does, but it's some sort of rich content management software as a service app.
• RealTime - Everybody's favorite whipping boy RealNetworks has launched their own RSS reader with online and desktop components.
• Windows PowerShell 1.0 English update package for Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1 and for Windows XP Service Pack 2 - Otherwise known as Powershell RC2.
• ViEmu/SQL - vi/vim emulation for SQL Server Management Studio. Trial download here, purchase it for $99.95.

• Accellion Courier SFTA - That stands for "Secure File Transfer Appliance." I had a nice chat with these guys; their goal is to take the pain out of moving reasonably large (up to 10GB) files around without clogging up mail servers with attachments or requiring setup of FTP sites. As the guy who gets to set up our one-off FTP accounts this was interesting to me. Basically it's a secure Web server that has its own Web mail client or that integrates to your existing Outlook or Notes installs. When you send a file, it translates this into sending a link and then manages the details of setting up a SSL-protected transfer. There's also provision for incoming secure transfers from your business partners, as well as an enterprise version that has some smarts for moving files close to where they're used among multiple offices. • The WebEx Connect Platform Extends the Reach of All Software Solutions with New On-Demand Composite Collaborative Applications - WebEx is launching some new software-as-a-service platform. The press release is so buzzword-heavy that I can't make it all the way through, but MindJet (who I respect) is one of the initial partners so there's probably something there.
• Enterprise Library v3: The Plan - Tom Hollander from the p&p team reveals their current thinking.
