Interview time, hooray!
- CEdit 3.5 - New release of the code editor
that runs on Windows Mobile, for those times when you want to sling C# on the Pocket
PC. Trial download is here,
$17.95 to license.
- WinSnap - Screenshot utility
that handles rounded corners, adds shadows, and has some other nifty effects. Download
here, free for
personal use, $12.95 to license.
- SpreadsheetGear
for .NET 2.1.0 - New version of this .NET spreadsheet component with a new "Spreadsheet
Explorer" sample and other enhancements.
- SimpPro - Encryption for
MSN, Yahoo, ICQ, AIM, Jabber, and Google Talk. $25, or they have a series of free
"Lite" versions if you only want to encrypt one network's traffic.
- Direct Access 1.1 - New version of the generalized macro package that I reviewed
here. Improvements
to the UI, more hotkeys, bug fixes. Trial download
here, still $39.95 to register.
-
Open Source Draggable ASP.NET Controls - Some goodies for your ASP.NET development
from Rob Walling.
- BuzzLogic - "Applying the science of influence
to the world of social media," these folks promise tools to help corporate America
"monitor, map, measure, and engage" all that talk going on about their products.
Well, good luck. I have a feeling that most of blogdom and social media doesn't
especially want to be engaged by the PR types.
- Wallop - The Microsoft-spinoff social network
is launching in beta. It's invitation-only, though you can e-mail them to request
an invitation. Their big distinction is that you can spend money to buy Flash "mods"
for your page from their Wallop Modders Network of "Flash Profressionals." I think
it's a fairly safe bet that this is going to sink like a rock.
