They called it basketball, but with three-year-olds playing it was some wacky combination
of basketball, soccer, and rugby.
- KeyTraino - The secretGeek
proposes another nifty piece of (alas, imaginary) software.
- NParsec - A parser for
.NET. More precisely, "a recursive-desent parser combinator framework," and if you
know what that means you've studied this stuff more than I have. (via
dotnetkicks)
-
DotNetBar 5.9 with complete Quick Access Toolbar customization released - The
DotNetBar folks continue to do a great job of mimicing the next-generation Office
user interface.
- telerik
r.a.d.controls 8.0 - New release includes the first r.a.d.ajax release (this
looks very spiffy to me), major updates to r.a.d.menu and r.a.d.upload, and a batch
of smaller enhancements. The press release is
here.
- WheelMUD.net - Project to build a multi-user
text adventure game engine in VB.NET with C# scripts. Far enough along to actually
be powering some test MUDs.
- The Vietnam
of Computer Science - Ned Batchelder comments on Ted Neward's recent analogy.
On the whole, I tend to agree with Ned; while Ted displays his usual excellent command
of the technical subject, dragging in a historical analogy sure to inflame emotions
isn't especially helpful.
