This is turning out to be the rainiest spring I can remember here.
- Get the CTP - Download Available -- TechEd Release - Of Visual Studio Team Edition for Database
Professionals, that is. Just remember, this is way early prerelease bits of something
that will cost you substantial money if you want the final code.
- Ultra Recall 2.0 - New version of this
PIM/Knowledge/Document management application can run from a USB key, has better
searching, more flexible layouts, folder synching, and more. Trial download is here, pricing from
$39.
- Ecora Documentor
- Free utility for documenting the configuration of a host of server software from
IIS and Exchange to Active Directory and SQL Server (as well as stuff on Unix, Linux,
and Netware networks). This is an entry-level version of Ecora's commercial Reporter
and Enterprise Auditor products.
- SQL mobile manager version 2.3 - Administer and manage SQL Server from Windows Mobile devices. $795 per
SQL Server instance.
- WCF RSS Toolkit
- RSS generation is fast becoming the "hello world" of our generation.
- The HTML Report Engine - Free library to turn DataSets into decent-looking reports.
- rendr 2 - Interactive tool that lets
you type in (or paste in) HTML and CSS and shows you right in front of what the
results are. Great for debugging when you don't know what the heck you're doing.
- Xceed has added some new security capabilities to both
Xceed FTP for .NET and Xceed
Zip for .NET, with HTTP proxy server support and support for SSL on their
FileSystem interface.
- iPrioritize - Free online task manager
with RSS feeds and company-level rollups.
-
WCF Downloads - A bunch of demo code from Juval Lowy, who knows what he's doing.

New and Notable 100! The Big 100! - Congrats to Sam Gentile for his 100th roundup
of doings in the .NET universe. If you enjoy The Daily Grind, you really ought to
be subscribing to New and Notable as well; Sam manages to scoop me on cutting-edge
Framework matters quite frequently.
- Visual Studio Team System Resource List - A big big list from Adamga. This ought to be your
first stop if you're looking for VSTS info.
