I was out of the office for most of yesterday, so only a few links
today. But I'll be lashed to my keyboard today, like Captain Ahab chasing the
great white software...

Microsoft alters Visual Studio, SQL Server shipment plans -
Various professional readers of tea leaves (this particular link is to
ComputerWorld) suggest that the ship dates for VS2005 and SQL Server 2005
are slipping again, from "summer" to later in the year. Personally, I'm
beginning to expect a Q4 release to manufacturing date to justify the 2005
moniker, and a very real chance that we won't see much product actually
shipping until 2006. But like everyone else in punditland, I'm just
guessing.

The Blog
Cycle - Anil Dash points out some of the patterns that occur over and
over in blogdom. Imagine my amusement at seeing him link back to a page that
I used to maintain back when it was still possible to keep track of every
single mainstream press mention of blogs. I do wish some of today's blogging
blowhard's had Anil's sense of perspective.
