The
Daily Grind 503
By Mike Gunderloy

Ah, an impressionable lad interviewed me this morning about breaking
into the technical writing field. It was so tempting to just fill his head full
of nonsense.

-
Wireless
Innovation Contest - There are both commercial and student
categories here, though it looks like the prizes are mainly of the
"recognition" variety.
-
Xena and Firefox, Opera, &c. - Xena is the MSDN content system. Andy
Boyd reports that they'll be cross-browser compatible in the next
release, despite the idiots in the data center who thought there was no
need for that since 99.5% of their hits were from IE (because, of
course, the site doesn't currently work right in other browsers).
[Update: I should make it clear that "idiots" was my word, not
Andy's...I've had far too many run-ins with data center folks to
maintain a professional standard when writing about them.]
