VS.NET Command Prompt Here

By Mike Gunderloy

Here's something that might actually be useful. I've taken the old "CMD prompt here" power toy and modified it to open the VS .NET Command Prompt instead. Just download this file, then right-click on it and select Install. After that, you can right-click any folder in Windows Explorer to open a command prompt with the VS .NET variables already set and with that folder as the current directory.

Update 5/7/03: Here's a version for VS .NET 2003.

The original CMD Prompt Here power toy, on which this code is based, comes from the Windows 2000 Resource Kit.
