I'm looking for software to monitor a remote server to make sure various services (WWW, SMTP, etc) are up. It's got to be an agentless architecture, and preferably reasonably-priced. Any favorites to suggest?

Software

Firefox 1.0 - The official release is out. The site is a bit slow, but it only took me a few tries to grab a copy.
NSurvey 1.6 - New version of the open source Web survey engine for .NET. (via TheServerSide.NET)
Windows Installer 3.0 Redistributable - Out after a bit of beta period. There's a KB Article to tell you what's new.
Konfabulator for Windows - Framework for various lightweight applets, ported from Mac. There are already several similar projects in Windows-land, so I'm not sure I see the attraction unless you like your screen all melty and stuff. (via Steve Makofsky)
