How about that, I passed the security exams. I guess I know a thing or
two...like how to pass MCP exams.
Software
-
PSPad - Another
interesting-looking freeware programmer's editor with a good selection of
features (via BetaNews)
-
Samurize 1.55 - New version of the most configurable system monitor
application around. (via
SnapFiles)
-
Groove v3 (Virtual Office) - New version
of my favorite collaboration application. I'll be upgrading, though I do
wish there was more installed base. And I also wish they'd spend a little
time on their Web site. It looks sexy, but it's still one of the
slowest-loading places I ever suffer through on the Web. (via
S.B. Chatterjee)
-
Ultimate Boot CD - A whole
boatload of DOS utilities and diagnostic applications on a single bootable
CD. (via Gammatron)
-
Interoperability tool for Eclipse and .NET WinForms - Host Windows Forms
controls in Eclipse. Wacky. But also an interesting way to speed the
migration of some VS .NET add-ins to Eclipse. (via
gsusx)
-
Introducing: NUnitX and the Rollback attribute - Seamless database rollback
with Nunit - Roy Osherove has built a version of NUnit that incorporates
some of his ideas on automatic rollback of database operations. But he's
done it by forking the project; hopefully he'll work with the core
developers to get these changes into the main distribution.
-
InstallAnywhere .NET
- New commercial setup application for .NET programs.
-
RUnit - Software to run NUnit
test harnesses in ASP.NET applications.
Information
Community
-
dotNet Influencers - Mike Schinkel has started a Wiki to bring together
a community of influential .NET folks. It'll be interesting to see what
develops here.
