Friday, February 06, 2004Early to bed, early to rise - with both kids up before 7AM, this is shaping up to be a rambunctious morning, at least in the offline world.
Software
- Dataset V - "a comprehensive Personal Information Mining & Refining Suite", including fuzzy SQL, data mining, graphical analysis and other goodies. Would be nice if they actually showed it in action on the site so you could figure out just what it does, but still looks interesting enough that I might download the free beta.
- Matisse 7 - New release of the "post-relational database" includes additional .NET integration. Free 30-day trial, pricing from $1995.
Information
- Custom NSIS Macros - Matt Hawley supplies some NSIS macros to help in installing .NET code.
- Nine Reasons not to use Serialization - This seems like it must come from "I used serialization and it ate my homework", but it is something to think about. Or nine somethings.
Community
- Avoiding script injection and other lessons - Jeffdav gives advice on things to do instead of using unsafe document.write() and similar constructions.
